According to this report, a public sector general strike in Israel could begin as early as next Tuesday if an agreement is not reached with striking social workers by Monday.  The social workers have been on strike all week, demanding improved salaries both for those employed by NGOs and those employed directly by the state. On Wednesday, negotiations between their union and the Finance Ministry broke down.
