According to this report on the website of UNISON, Britain’s giant public sector union, the Trades Union Congress (TUC) has taken action to implement its call last September for a partial boycott of Israeli goods. UNISON writes, “The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) has just launched a campaign in partnership with the TUC which aims to end the sale of settlement produce in Britain. UNISON supports the campaign and is encouraging branches and regions to get involved.” The PSC supports Hamas’ call for single-state solution to the conflict (its symbol is a map of a one-state Palestine) and generally considers the occupation to have begun in 1948, not 1967 — meaning that “settlements” could include Tel-Aviv and Haifa. (The TUC, however, continues to support a two-state solution.)
